Why 5 stages — and why it matters for your hair

UAE tap water is desalinated sea water. It's perfectly safe to drink — but it carries chlorine and mineral loads that European or American filters were never designed for. NILAYA's system was calibrated specifically for Gulf water chemistry.

Stage 1 — Ultra-Fine Sediment Layer

The first barrier. Captures sand, rust particles and micro-sediments from the building's pipes and tanks before they reach the active media.

Stage 2 — KDF-55 Alloy

A copper-zinc alloy that works through redox reaction to reduce free chlorine and traces of heavy metals. It also inhibits scale and bacterial build-up inside the filter itself.

Stage 3 — Calcium Sulfite

The key stage. Calcium sulfite is dramatically more effective than carbon at removing chlorine in hot water — which is exactly what a shower is. This is what most cheap filters get wrong.

Stage 4 — Premium Activated Carbon

Absorbs odours, organic impurities and residual chemicals, polishing the water before it reaches your skin.

Stage 5 — Vitamin C Boost

A final antioxidant infusion that helps neutralise any remaining chlorine trace and leaves water feeling noticeably softer on hair and skin.
